About JAM

What is JAM?
The Jersey Arts Marketers (JAM) are a consortium of arts administrators that work cooperatively toward furthering the Discover Jersey Arts (DJA) program’s mission of increasing the awareness of and participation in the arts in New Jersey.

Initially formed through an initiative by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, each regional JAM group (North, Central and South) meets quarterly to address common issues, foster professional development, and coordinate a number of on-going cooperative programs. Each regional group is led by a chairperson who, working in tandem with the DJA program staff at the ArtPride New Jersey Foundation, strives to further develop the program as an ongoing resource for both the arts community and its patrons. Participation in JAM is free and open to representatives from all New Jersey-based, nonprofit arts organizations.

2012 JAM Meetings
Regional JAM meetings are held quarterly and hosted by participating JAM member organizations. Business meetings normally take place from 10:00am - 12:00pm and consist of the planning of on-going and future collaborative initiatives we well as presentations on a variety of audience development topics.

In addition to its regular business meetings, JAM coordinates additional professional development events throughout the year and is planning its first Jersey Arts Marketers Conference for the spring of 2012.

There is no fee for attending regular JAM meetings; however, please RSVP via the links below so the host venue can plan accordingly. We will also use the RSVP list to notify you by email of any potential meeting changes or cancellations, so be sure to let us know which meetings you plan to attend.

Please see below for the 2012 JAM meeting schedule. While the May meetings will be replaced by conference calls, the rest will be traditional in-person meetings. Be sure to attend to help plan the JAM Conference, learn how to get the most out of JAM, and hear from subcommittee members.
