It's a new record! Thank you to the 109 public, private, and parochial schools and home schools, 691 teachers, and 19,000 students participating in this year's NJ Poetry Out Loud! We're thrilled that you will be taking part in this year's national poetry recitation contest and wish you the best of luck as you complete your classroom and school-wide competitions. These pages will help clarify the steps you can take to be best prepared for the upcoming Regional Contests.

Good luck to all of the schools participating! Below you will find important dates, including the upcoming Regional Contests..

February 9, 10AM - 1PM - Region 1: Regional Poetry Recitation Contest at Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts (snow date: February 16)

February 15, 10AM - 1PM - Region 4: Regional Poetry Recitation Contest at Mayo Performance Arts Center (Snow date: February 27).

February 22, 10AM - 1PM - Region 3: Regional Poetry Recitation Contest at Bergen Performing Arts Center (Snow Date: February 28).

March 8 - Deadline for Regional champions/State Finalist forms to be submitted online for NJ State Final.

March 21 - NJ State POL Final at Kendall Hall, The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ.

April - National POL Finals in Washington, D.C.
